LAX- JFK

SEPTEMBER 19, 2011

***GUEST CONTRIBUTOR ***

WHY ON THIS FLIGHT: Business

BUCKET LIST: New Zealand

GUILTY PLEASURE: A whole day at home in bed

*MY TWO CENTS*: I was in the crew lounge talking to some F/A's about the blog, they looked it up and Laurel decided she would give it a try. She wrote me a note on the back of the questionnaire...

"This pax was a gal around 30(?) traveling with co-workers, said she didn't feel well. Ate cheese and crackers. (told me I was a good Mom) about an hour before landing she revived. I think she had a fun night because they were laughing and having fun reminiscing. She was hesitant to do the paper questionnaire it seems. oh well, I tried. My next flight was crazy busy, and totally forgot to ask. Sorry! I had fun though. I love your idea, keep going! Laurel"

I love the fact that she was willing to do it! If truth be told, I don't get to ask everyone on every flight, like her note said, sometimes you just get crazy busy, forget, the pax is sound asleep, or things happen. Thanks again Laurel...you are awesome!

WHY ON THIS FLIGHT: Returning home to get to work.

FACT: I have hiked Masada in Israel before dawn and watched the sun rise over the Dead Sea

BUCKET LIST: I need to get to Europe, but would love to spend time in Australia and New Zealand, way out in the remote parts of the countries.

GUILTY PLEASURE: Going straight to the front of the security line at the airport using my airport ID badge.

*MY TWO CENTS*: Rich is a follower on twitter @PaxIn11D and sent me a tweet and picture of his boarding pass...11D. I asked him if he would like to fill out the questionnaire and he did! I am so happy to have any guest contributors. In regards to his responses, I would love to see the sunrise over the Dead Sea. I am sure it was an amazing view. The security line is bitter sweet... nice that we are ushered up to the front of the line (at most airports), but a drag that we have to go through airport security every single day we work.

WHY ON THIS FLIGHT: Traveling to Colorado with colleagues on a ski trip that we earned for hitting our 2010 goals

FUN FACT: I am going to Russia this summer!

BUCKET LIST: Australia and New Zealand

GUILTY PLEASURE: Reality TV

*MY TWO CENTS*: I am jealous about her trip to Russia, it has also made my bucket list, along with 100+ other places. I am going to Costa Rica and Nicaragua in May, but it isn’t Russia. I want to see all the architecture and history in Russia…..one day!

WHY ON THIS FLIGHT: Home for the holidays!

FUN FACT: I watched Speaker Nancy Pelosi sign the legislation to repeal “Don’t ask, Don’t Tell” before it was sent to President Obama for his signature this week! (and , I have climbed Mt Kilimanjaro)

BUCKET LIST: Sky dive in New Zealand, Adopting a child with my partner.

GUILTY PLEASURE: Chocolate chip cookie dough. Earning frequent flier miles. (going out of my way to…)

*MY TWO CENTS: I am so bummed that I gave Samir the form so late in the flight, because I would have loved to have talked to him AT LENGTH about his answers. The flight was short and the flight was full. I try to give the form to the pax in 11D soon after we depart, but was unable to this flight. A lot of big and important issues…”Don’t ask, don’t tell, adoption, Nancy Pelosi and President Obama, just to name a few.

WHY ON THIS FLIGHT: Heading to Vegas

FUN FACT:
I have visited South Africa, India

BUCKET LIST:
Visit Australia, New Zealand, Go to Alaska, Increase the size of my woodworking shop, Go to Banff National Park; Lake Louise

GUILTY PLEASURE: Get married again

*MY TWO CENTS: Joe seemed hesitant at first. I really didn’t know if he was going to participate. He was actually done pretty quickly. As you can see by his answers, they get longer as he continues to answer the questions. I especially love the fact that he wants to get married again. I know so many people that one time is enough (whether it ends in divorce or not). Me? I have been married 17 ½ years and I still love it. When I talk about my husband everyone thinks I am newly married. I really love my husband dearly. He is my best friend with benefits!
