SCOTT

***FIRST BLOG POST 2012!***

1/2/2012 (ok, that was fun!)

JFK-LAX

WHY ON THIS FLIGHT: Spent the Holiday with my partner in NYC at our apt. & now headed back to our home in L.A. (he's on a different flight about 10 mins. ahead of us!)

FUN FACT: I have a unique talent where I remember numbers... Bank accounts, phone numbers, credit card numbers, you name it! without looking, I know my frequent flyer numbers for 3 airlines... (and now 11D) I'm cursed.

BUCKET LIST: Want to take a Safari, go down under and spend time learning to fly.

GUILTY PLEASURE: watching "Devil wears Prada" and eating popcorn with plain M&M's dumped in. YUM!

*MY TWO CENTS*: Scott was awesome, he is one of those pax that you immediately love the first time you interact with them. It was cute when he got excited to fill out the form and help me with my blog! My husband has the crazy number thing too. Paul remembers phone numbers, car & motorcycle part numbers...but he can't ever remember his driver's license number.

EVAN

LAX-DFW

OCTOBER 22, 2011

WHY ON THIS FLIGHT: Worked all week in LA, from LA, originally and wanted to see friends for Friday dinner and Saturday lunch. I come to LA often 6-8 times a year.

FACT: I am a foodie and have eaten fine dining in most of the world, minus Africa, North and South Poles and parts of South America.

BUCKET LIST: Find a wonderful 50ish woman who loves to travel, great heart, pretty inside and out and does not give me drama!

GUILTY PLEASURE: Spend a whole day with close friends, laugh, talk and eat. Most important, not think about business.

*MY TWO CENTS*: Evan was great, what a catch for someone with no drama. I happened to be talking earlier to a passenger, that I felt fit the bill, just a couple of rows forward of his seat. I asked her if she was married, it was actually her anniversary, but she had a friend. So I moved Even to the empty seat next to Lori, so she could "interview" him for her friend. I hope to get an update from Lori or Evan. Lori runs a company called Linens for Animals. Please be sure to check out her website www.LinensForAnimals.org

LARRY

SEP 14, 2010
DFW-SEP
WHY ON THIS FLIGHT: I am returning home to Calif, Los Angeles after having attended my high school reunion, our 47th.

FUN FACT: I graduated from a small school in North Carolina. My class had 48 graduates and 18 attended. Many of my high school classmates are also my cousins because my great grandfather graced this Atlantic seaboard community with 22 children, most of whom went forth and multiplied. The years have passed, but when my school mates and I get together, the years melt away and we gleefully rehash our former days and years together and share what life has brought us. I have traveled on every continent and enjoyed that travel greatly, but I enjoy as much as anything else sharing some time with loved ones, family and friends.

BUCKET LIST:
GUILTY PLEASURE: One of my favorite pass times is sitting on my patio, reading a book and experiencing my surroundings. A cat chasing breeze blown leaves, bees and birds sipping water from the bird bath and a cooling breeze massage.

*MY TWO CENTS: Larry answers were wonderful. They were reflective and descriptive. I can imagine myself on that porch. Shoot, maybe he should be writing or at least collaborating on my blog with me.

JFK-LAX

WHY ON THIS FLIGHT: Some business, some golf, some baseball.

FUN FACT: Gained access to a plane and sat in the cockpit of an oversold flight between Paris and Stockholm by telling the agent I was a pilot.....I am not (pre 9-11)

GUILTY PLEASURE: My three vices: Ice cream, cigars and beer.I won't ever have all 3 in a single day, but it's the rare day I won't have at least one of them.

PENNI'S TWO CENTS: What an amazing once in a life time situation to be able to sit in the cockpit.  It is one of the best views ever.  I have seen the Grand Canyon and Niagara Falls many times and I am still in awe like it was the first time.  I have seen fireworks going off in 20 different locations simultaneously, meteor showers, comets and the most gorgeous sunrises and sunsets on both coasts.  I am so blessed with a breathtaking "office window".  No, I never tire of the excitement of taking off, landing, and the views along the way of each and every flight.

COLIN

AUG 28, 2010
LAX-JFK

WHY ON THIS FLIGHT: Going to NYC for the U.S. Open. I am meeting my Dad who is coming from Trinidad.

FUN FACT: I was in the Bahamas earlier this week. I love to travel!!

BUCKET LIST: Eat at Peter Lugers (doing this week). Vacation in the South of France.

GUILTY PLEASURE: Sweets. I eat dessert items everyday.

PENNI'S TWO CENTS: Here comes a small world story. After we departed I received the form back from Colin. Another Flight Attendant & myself were reading over the answers and her eyes got really big. She said that she went to grade school with a guy name Colin who was from Trinidad. We looked on the pax name list and figured out that this pax was one in the same. She immediately went to his seat and told him who she was. She was working a galley position located about 20 ft. behind from where he was sitting. However due to her F/A position, she would have probably never seen that he was onboard if not for my blog. Did I happen to mention that they haven’t seen each other in over 20 years….CRAZY small wonderful world!!!

STEVE S. (of JETBLUE FAME)

PIT-JFK
AUG 9, 2010

Since the situation with Steven S. (Jetblue) is all over the news and FB, I felt I needed to add an entry. This is exactly why I am writing this blog. We all hear about the “crazies” (I am talking about the pax). They make national news. However, for every crazy, there are thousands of interesting, cool, great to meet and talk to “regulars”. I love my job, my office view is FANTASTIC and 99.99% of the time every pax I encounter is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!

Just a little side note, once again a late night flight. Mark was more than happy to fill out the form. I love that fact that he seems to work very hard going back and forth to LAX, however he stills seems like a big kid at heart. We should all aspire to be big kids at heart!

CHELSEA H.

JULY 8, 2010
LAX-JFK
OK, so she wasn't sitting in 11D, but she was so cool I had to share. I had comedian Chelsea H. on board. I love her show and her books. I had one of her books with me and she actually signed it. She was so gracious, nice and absolutely adorable! Her laugh is so infectious, you can't help but laugh with her. I was so excited, that she was so sweet! She will remain one of my favorites for a very long time! PS. Her books will make you pee your pants laughing!

FRANK

June 26, 2010 LAX-ORD

Wouldn't you know it, my first post was actually sitting in 12D, because the pax in 11D didn't speak English well.
FRANK was traveling with his adorable twin daughters to Chicago to meet up with wife/Mom. She is working on a film in Chicago. His FUN FACT is that he gets to “stay home with his daughters about 75% of the time. I was impressed on how much fun he was having as a stay at home Dad. His BUCKET LIST item is “that one Alaskan fish trip for huge halibut…..with my girls of course” His GUILTY PLEASURE??? He “can not miss ‘Ghost Adventures’ every night”

At the bottom of the page there was an additional FUN FACT that said, “I love my Daddy very, very, very much!”

Frank is an amazing man that is working 75% of the time as a stay at home Dad and loves it! His girls were great, what a wonderful family. He seems to be doing a great job and enjoying it immensely.
